This is elderj.  I have hacked into Jeannie's for the purpose of updating her information since she never does so.  She would say that she doesnt have time, but I know that when she's not frantically working, she just eats bon bons all day and watches Star Trek reruns.

So much for the image of a hard working staff worker

Greetings!!!

Just returned from a wonderful trip to visit my niece in St.Louis.  We went to the US Figure Skating championships and it was wonderfully exciting.  We saw history in the making as the pairs champions became the first to ever land a throw triple axel in competition!!!  St. Louis is a really cool city too...I'd like to go back when I can see more of it.

Well....thanks to my co-worker Joshua Settles for uploading this photo....

Well...it has been a long time since I've even looked back at this page. Since then I have been to Nashville for a weekend conference, to Colorado Springs for Global Projects Debriefing with other Global Projects Directors, in the mountains of Tennessee for a meeting with other InterVarsity leaders from the southeast region, back and forth to Chattanooga a couple of times for campus visits and meetings with staff, to Vancouver Canada for a course on vocational discernment and stewardship, and to Atlanta for our regional staff conference. In between each trip it seems that my e-mail inbox has accummulated more and more messages so my time online has been more than filled with catching up on e-mails. I do find myself longing for the days of snail mail sometimes as I struggle to catch up with the pace of modern electronic communications...sigh...sigh...I am trying...thanks for the encouraging props

Xanga

This is a great adventure because i am "technologically-changed".  Thanks and a big "SHOUT OUT" to my friends and co-workers Joshua & JoeElla for helping me discover this new communication tool.  A few quick strokes on the keyboard and I'm in touch with people around the globe...WOW.  Hopefully I'll be able to find my way back to this site again...
